Shawn Robek
Recovering from his injury, he realized that being unable to do what you love is unacceptable and that there must be a better way to recover than succumbing to surgery and pills. What was once Shawn’s most significant weakness has now turned into his greatest strength. He created a 3 step system to FIX your pain and get you back to what you love.
Michael Jerez
Michael Jerez was raised in Brooklyn, where he learned the value of hard work and service while helping in his family’s deli and salon. His commitment to serving others led him to enlist in the United States Navy as a Corpsman, completing multiple deployments, including a tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
After sustaining his own injuries, Michael experienced the impact of chiropractic and acupuncture care firsthand. The relief he found shaped his appreciation for a holistic, whole-body approach to healing and ultimately guided him toward a career in chiropractic medicine.
He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2012. Since then, he has cared for patients across all stages of injury recovery, rehabilitation, performance, and long-term wellness. Many will remember him from his years leading the Fix Medical Group Palm Desert clinic, where he built a strong reputation for patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
Michael has rejoined the Fix Medical Group team in Scottsdale, bringing deep expertise, compassion, and a steady dedication to helping people get back to doing what they love.
Kristen Stout
Kristen is originally from southern California and spent time growing up in Idaho. She attended the College of Southern Idaho where she obtained her Registered Nursing degree in 2006. In 2013, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University, in 2018 graduated magnum cum laude from Chamberlain with a Master of Science in Nursing, obtaining her board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Kristen is a hands-on provider who loves making a difference in her patients’ lives. Because of her background, she can be a provider and still bring the nursing aspect into the care. This selfless, caring, empathy is what makes her a great fit at FIX.
For Kristen, it’s not just about prescribing medication, but about focusing on and figuring out what the cause of the disease or illness is and making the right changes.
Being able to help people at pivotal moments in their lives and creating a difference keeps her going.
Sandy Owen
Sandy is an experienced massage therapist who is passionate about helping our patients get back to what they love.
With over 24 years of experience as a massage therapist, Sandy specializes in deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and sports injury techniques. She utilizes advanced tools such as cupping, scraping, and massage guns to effectively relieve stubborn tension.
Kori Belliston
Kori is a certified personal trainer and strength coach. She is an ASU graduate of Biomedical Science and a nationally certified Emergency Paramedic. Being engaged in sports starting at an early age, she has developed a passion for human biology with a focus in physical fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness.
Prior to moving to Arizona, Kori coached karate, MMA, and jiu jitsu to all age groups. This gave her the opportunity to train with elite athletes and learn from some of the top trainers in the field.
As a paramedic she sees firsthand how acute and chronic injuries greatly impact an individual’s performance and quality of life. Because of this, Kori helps clients live a healthy lifestyle and provide programs that get them back to doing what they love.
Jesika Casey
Jesika has been part of Fix Medical Group since 2014, working closely with Dr. Shawn Robek in various roles such as Office Manager, Case Manager, Director of Operations, and now Vice President. Her passion lies in guiding patients on their journey to better health and witnessing the incredible transformations achieved through the dedicated care provided by Fix Medical Group.
